Hillcrest Selects

The Hillcrest Hockey U7 program follows the guidelines and principles of The Timbits Hockey Canada U7 Program. This program focuses on skill development and fun. Hillcrest Hockey will use state of the art training tools to make your child’s experience memorable. Hillcrest Hockey will adhere to the seasonal structure set forth by Hockey Canada which includes the following:
1) Development Phase — The development phase includes a practice to game ratio of 3:1, or 3 practices to one game. See the following link on seasonal structure

2) Regular Season Phase – This phase includes a practice to game ratio of 2:1, or 2 practices to one game. See the following link on seasonal structure

3) Game Play Phase or Transition Phase – this phase permits half-ice play for second year U7 players as of January 15th. See the following link on seasonal structure

U9 / Novice Program

The Hillcrest Hockey U9 or Novice program follows the standards that Hockey Canada membership must adhere to. This program still emphasizes and focuses on skill development and fun. Hillcrest Hockey will use state of the art training tools to make your childs experience memorable. Hillcrest Hockey will adhere to the seasonal structure set forth by Hockey Canada which includes the following:
